Repitch Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This page explains, in plain English, what data Repitch collects when you use the service at repitch.io, who processes it for us, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, your name, and a password (stored securely hashed, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google instead, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google and no password is stored.
- Your content — the videos and screen recordings you upload or record, and everything Repitch generates from them: transcripts, scripts, and narration audio.
- Usage data — how much of the service you use, including usage metering (how many minutes of video you export, and how much narration we generate for you), so we can apply plan limits and billing correctly.
- Payment data — handled by Stripe and Link, not us. Stripe processes your card or payment details, and Link, Stripe's payment service, is the seller of record for purchases. We never see or store your full card number; we only receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status, and the customer reference Stripe uses for your account.
How we use it
We use your data for one thing: running Repitch for you — making your videos, keeping your account working, applying your plan's limits, and answering your support requests. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use your content to train public AI models.
Who processes data for us
To make your videos, some of your data passes through a small set of service providers:
- Stripe and Link — payments, receipts, invoicing, and tax. Link, Stripe's payment service, is the seller of record for purchases. They receive your email address and your payment and billing details.
- ElevenLabs — voice generation and transcription. Receives your scripts (to voice them) and your videos' audio (to transcribe it).
- Anthropic — AI script writing and refinement. Receives transcripts and scripts, for silent recordings a handful of still frames from your video so the AI can describe what is on screen, and for recordings made with the Companion extension the click and page details it noted.
- Resend — account and product emails. Receives your email address and the emails we send you: sign-up and password links, the welcome email, “video ready”, “needs another try” or “needs a plan change” emails you ask for, and “someone watched” alerts.
Repitch itself — your account, videos, and generated content — is hosted on a server in the United States. Each provider only receives what it needs for its job.
How long we keep it
Your content stays in your account until you delete it or delete your account — there is no automatic expiry. When you delete a project or discard a recording, it is removed from your account immediately and its video and audio files are permanently erased from our storage, normally within minutes. Intro and outro clips you upload stay in your clip library until you delete your account. You can delete your account yourself anytime in Settings → Delete account; it and everything in it are removed right away. Deleting your account erases everything in it the same way. Copies can remain in our backups for up to 30 days, until those backups are automatically replaced. The service providers listed above keep what we send them under their own retention policies; for example, ElevenLabs keeps a history of the narration it generates for us until it is deleted.
When you delete your own account, we keep one thing so that deleting and joining again can't restart the free trial: a one-way code made from your email address, which can't be turned back into your email address, together with how many free-trial minutes you had used. It holds no email address and none of your content. We keep that code indefinitely.
Cookies
Repitch uses cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
Share pages
Share pages count views without cookies. IP addresses are never saved with view data; a one-way code that changes daily counts unique viewers.
Your rights
You can see and download your own content anytime from your account, and delete your account and everything in it yourself in Settings → Delete account. To get a copy of your data or correct it, email support@repitch.io and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live (for example the EU or UK), these rights are also guaranteed to you by law.
Children
Repitch is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
The Companion Chrome extension
The optional Repitch Companion extension for Chrome has its own, more detailed privacy policy covering exactly what it captures during a recording: Repitch Companion privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above, and make a reasonable effort to notify you of significant changes.
