Repitch Companion for Chrome

What the extension is

Repitch Companion is a Chrome extension that works alongside the Repitch screen recorder. While a Repitch screen recording is actively running, it notes the clicks you make and the page changes that happen, so Repitch can write more accurate AI narration for your demo video. That is its only job. It does nothing at any other time.

Exactly what is collected

Only while a Repitch recording is actively running, the extension collects:

• The visible label of elements you click (for example, the text on a button).
• Nearby heading text, so the narration knows which part of the page you were in.
• Page web addresses, with query parameters removed.
• Page titles.
• Timestamps, so each click lines up with the right moment in your recording.

And just as important, what is never collected:

• No keystrokes or typed text.
• No screenshots.
• No browsing history outside of an active recording.
• Nothing while you are not recording, and nothing while a recording is paused.

Privacy safeguards

• Email addresses and card-like numbers are scrubbed inside your browser before anything leaves your computer.
• Captured data travels only to your own Repitch account, attached to the recording it belongs to. It never goes anywhere else.
• Website developers can keep any element out of capture entirely by adding a data-repitch-no-capture attribute to it.

How your data is handled

Captured click and page-change data is stored with the recording it was made for, in your Repitch account. Deleting the video deletes this data along with it. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties.
